Mathematics is predominantly based on a number of textbooks. Shared mathematics teaching is practiced, with a resource teacher when required working in-class to assist. The environment is suitably enriched with concrete and visual materials. Attention is focused on the purposeful teaching of concepts through the active engagement of pupils with a range of appropriate equipment and skilful use of guided discussion for real life situations.
