Minor accidents / illnesses are treated at school e.g. cuts, grazes etc... Teachers / Principal will act in loco-parentis.

If the accident / illness are of a serious nature, the child’s parents / guardians will be notified. The child will be brought directly to casualty / doctor if necessary.

Please ensure that the school has an alternative contact name and number in the event of a child’s parents / guardians being unavailable and please ensure that these persons live locally.

When a child has any specific illness e.g. Asthma, the teachers should be made aware of any medication which must be taken.  The school board takes no responsibility for administration of medicine without explicit written approval and instruction.
