Meeting of 4th , 5th and 6th class parents October 25th

On Tuesday October 25th an information meeting for parents of 4th to 6th classes was held and the following issues discussed . Those who could not attend are requested to make an appointment with the school principal to receive the information . A copy of the survey given to parents is included underneath .

  1. Socialisation ….how children make friends and preventing bullying.
  2. Children’s Use of Social Media and the danger of Cyber bullying in particular.
  3. Physical and mental health Issues for children .
  4. Sexuality and Body Changes from 4th to 6th . Issues relating to hygiene and peer conversations.
  5. Religion and School Ethos .
  6. Preparation for secondary school .
  7. Gaeilge and Gaeltacht . Should a Gaeltacht trip be facilitated for our pupils .
  8. Preparation for Confirmation ( 6th Class Catholic pupils )  Hosted by Fr Oliver Kelly and Sr. Kathleen Mc Garrigal.
