Sky Dome

2^nd– 6^th Classes have SkyDome tomorrow. A mobile planetarium. This is paid for out of the School Book Scheme. Thank you to everyone who has fully paid their contribution.

Halloween

The school closes on Friday, and will re-open on Monday 7 November. Please take some time to call in to the school and see all of the Halloween art and writing the children have been doing, displayed in the school hall and corridors.

PA Halloween Disco

The Parent Association annual Halloween Disco will be held on Friday. Fancy Dress a must but no hand held extras for safety purposes. 7.00-8.00 pm for Infants to Second Class, 8.00-9.00 pm for Third to Sixth. Parents of Junior Classes are to remain in the hall. Parent Helpers welcomed. Children must be dropped at the school door and collected from the school door at the end by an adult. Price €3 per child. €5 per family.

Halloween Activity Camp

A multi-activity camp will be held in the school over the half term on 2^nd – 5^th November. Football-sport-dance-art-chess-table tennis. Price €25 per child, €15 each additional in family, €10 daily drop-in. Contact Kathleen on 0863956388 if interested.

Halloween Tennis Camp.

If enough interest there will be a Tennis Camp Tuesday – Friday at Tennis Courts 1.30 – 2.30. contact Mary on 0872290136.

Nature Watch

For anyone interested in the wildlife that exists around us, and particularly the very hard to spot Red Grouse that lives on the hills around the school there is an informative film being shown in the Ballroom of Romance at 8.00 pm on Saturday 29 October.

RSE/Gaeltacht/Cyber-bullying.

4^th – 6^th class parents attended a discussion on these topics on Tuesday evening. Anyone who was unable to attend there is a note on the School Blog, together with a Questionnaire for parents to complete. If you are unable to access the Questionnaire a hard copy is available from the school office.

Youth Drug and Alcohol Education and Prevention Programme

We are once again making this available to 6^th class children. A six week programme starting Monday 7 November from 3.00 – 4.00 pm. Places are limited so please return the application forms to us by tomorrow, at the lastest.
